Biography

 

Gavin James Soper aka Gaz James & Sakura, Born 28/10/84 in London - United Kingdom.

 

   I started clubbing in 1999 @ the infamous 'CHUNNEL CLUB' in Brixton @ an event called Trinity. I was about 15 yrs old when i first walked through those doors, great times...

   In 2007 I played out at my first event for club 18-30's in Unkle Sams bar in Magaluf, this boosted my want to play out and so I started djing in bars and pubs all across the south of england. This however wasnt enough for me , I wanted to play out for the london nightclubs that i found my sound within.

   I got my chance at the begining of 2011 at club 414 playing for 'Primetime' and had a great time. Since then I founded Vinyl Impact, this has given me the chance to dj along side the likes of Rob tissera, BK, Karim and the Tidy djs (sam and deano) amongst others and gained me the opertunity to host a room at 'Frantic', play for SSUP/Xtatic ect...

  

Over the years I have kept a keen mind on learning to produce and have had to date , 6 top ten hits on the hard dance chart, including a hight of no'1, my music styles are hard house and trance mainly but I have been known to dabble in other flavours.

   This last 2 years I have been focusing on a prodject that started as a pirate radio ran from my studio (location undisclosed) ;) but now exists as a podcast on iTunes and Podomatic on a weekly basis. The show (LegionKast) has had much support from the likes of: The DjD/Steve Hill/Andy Simpson/Terry Fursland/Yorrin + many more, and so has evolved to a 'Legion' of artists commited to bringing good music to the masses, for free download! not just mixes but 'Track Releases' as well.
